Educational & safety disclaimer
Use this site to practice—not as an official or professional authority.
Educational purpose only
The lessons, questions, rationales, scores, and other content are general educational information. They are not legal advice, official licensing guidance, professional rider instruction, emergency advice, or a substitute for the current California Motorcycle Handbook, applicable law, an approved safety course, or instruction from a qualified professional.
Accuracy, currency, and official rules
Laws, agency policies, testing practices, fees, eligibility rules, and safety guidance can change. Content may contain mistakes, omissions, or outdated information. Current statutes, regulations, and official DMV and CHP publications always control. When this site conflicts with an official source, rely on the official source.
No test or licensing guarantee
A score, module pass, 80% target, progress bar, or “readiness” percentage reflects performance only on this site’s practice bank. It is not a statistical prediction of an official result, is not based on DMV outcome data, and has not been independently validated. It is not a promise that you will pass, proof of competence, a license, certification, or permission to ride. The real examination’s questions, length, scoring, and administration may differ.
Motorcycle risk and personal responsibility
Riding a motorcycle can cause property damage, serious injury, or death. No study aid or safety tip can eliminate that risk. Do not attempt a maneuver solely because it appears here. Follow the law, road and weather conditions, your training, your motorcycle’s instructions, and sound judgment. Seek hands-on training and do not ride if you are unlicensed, impaired, fatigued, unprepared, or the conditions are unsafe.
Third parties, links, and names
Links to government or third-party services are provided for convenience and do not imply endorsement. External sites have their own content, availability, terms, and privacy practices. Agency, company, product, and service names are used descriptively; all related trademarks and third-party materials belong to their respective owners.
No warranties; limits that apply
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted availability, security, or non-infringement. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the site operator is not liable for losses arising from reliance on the content, test outcomes, riding decisions, service interruptions, or loss of saved progress. Nothing here limits rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Privacy notice
What the site collects, why it is used, and how to delete it.
Scope, operator, and controller
This notice applies to passmotorcycletest.com, operated by PassMotorcycleTest, LLC. PassMotorcycleTest, LLC is the operator and controller of personal information handled by this site, except where a service provider acts independently under its own terms. This notice does not govern the California DMV, CHP, OpenAI, ChatGPT, Google, Apple, or any linked service. Those services apply their own privacy terms.
Information collected
- Anonymous use: You can read lessons and take the full practice test without an account. Anonymous answers and results exist only in page memory for the current attempt, are not saved to the site’s progress database, and disappear if the page is reloaded or left.
- Sign-in identity: If you approve Sign in with ChatGPT, the site receives a site-specific account identifier, your name, and email address. The site does not receive or store your ChatGPT password, conversations, files, billing data, or Google/Apple password. A profile photo may be made available by the sign-in service, but this site does not currently store it.
- Learning records: For signed-in users, the site stores module completion and unlock status, scores, pass status, attempt counts, missed-question IDs, readiness estimates, and related timestamps. It does not store the choice selected for each question.
- Technical data: Hosting, authentication, and security providers may automatically process routine request and device information, such as IP address, browser details, request identifiers, and security signals, to operate and protect the site.
How information is used
Information is used to authenticate you, sync progress across devices, enforce module unlocks, calculate scores and practice-based readiness, show assessment history, maintain and secure the service, prevent misuse, and comply with legal obligations. It is not used to make licensing decisions.
Service providers and disclosure
OpenAI provides site hosting and Sign in with ChatGPT and processes information needed to provide and protect those services. Data may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect users or the service, investigate abuse, or complete a legitimate transfer of the site, subject to applicable law. This site does not currently sell personal information, use it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or run advertising or analytics trackers.
Cookies and similar technologies
The site and its hosting or authentication providers may use strictly necessary cookies or similar technologies to keep the service working, complete sign-in, remember an authenticated session, route requests, and prevent fraud. The site does not currently place optional advertising or analytics cookies. If that changes, this notice and any legally required choices will be updated.
Browser privacy signals
Because the site does not currently sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising, there is no such activity to opt out of through a legacy “Do Not Track” signal. The site will honor legally required opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control, if a covered sale or sharing practice is introduced. Authentication and hosting providers may process technical information under their own policies.
Retention and location
Active signed-in profile and learning records are kept until you delete them, the operator determines they are no longer needed, or retention is required by law. Deletion removes active application records. Limited information may remain temporarily in provider security logs or backups under the provider’s obligations and policies. OpenAI may process site data in jurisdictions described in the agreement and privacy terms that apply to its services; this site does not promise a specific data-residency location.
Your choices and rights
You may browse without signing in, sign out without deleting saved progress, or permanently delete the site’s active records below. Depending on where you live, applicable law may also provide rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or obtain a copy of personal information and to complain to a regulator. Identity name or email corrections must be made through the ChatGPT account that supplies them. This notice does not waive any applicable rights.
Security and children
Reasonable safeguards are used, but no online system is completely secure and loss or unauthorized access cannot be guaranteed against. The service is not directed to children under 13. A person who is not old enough to agree to these terms should use the site only with permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian and should not sign in if applicable law prohibits it.

Terms of use
Rules for using Pass Motorcycle Test.
Acceptance and eligibility
These terms are between you and PassMotorcycleTest, LLC. By using the site, you agree to these terms and the notices above. If you do not agree, do not use the site. If you are not legally able to agree on your own, use it only with permission from a parent or legal guardian. Separate provider terms apply when you use Sign in with ChatGPT or another linked service.
Limited permission and acceptable use
You may use the site for personal, non-commercial study and lawful educational purposes. You may not misuse the service, interfere with its operation, bypass access or security controls, submit malicious code, impersonate others, automate abusive traffic, use the site unlawfully, or copy, scrape, republish, or sell substantial portions of the site or question bank except where law permits.
Accounts and progress
You are responsible for access through your sign-in account and for keeping that account secure. Progress may be delayed, unavailable, lost, reset, or deleted. Do not treat saved progress as a permanent record or official credential. The operator may restrict access or remove data reasonably necessary to protect the service, comply with law, or address a violation of these terms.
Content and intellectual property
The site design and original content are protected by applicable law. Third-party content, agency materials, and names remain the property of their respective owners. Permission to use the site does not transfer ownership or grant a right to commercially exploit the content. Feedback you voluntarily provide may be used to improve the site without an obligation to compensate you.
Changes and availability
The site, features, question bank, scoring, policies, and these terms may change, be suspended, or be discontinued. Material policy changes will be posted with a new effective date. Continued use after a change takes effect means you accept the revised terms to the extent allowed by law.
Disclaimers and liability
The educational, safety, accuracy, warranty, and test-result disclaimers in Section 01 are part of these terms. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, lost data, lost opportunity, personal injury, property damage, or losses caused by reliance on the site. Any direct liability is limited to the amount you paid to use the site, if any. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law.
Severability and no waiver
If a term is found unenforceable, it will be limited or removed only to the extent necessary and the remaining terms will continue. A delay in enforcing a term is not a waiver. These terms do not create an agency, employment, partnership, or joint-venture relationship.
